Venezuela Inside

[Guest] El salto Angel: The highest waterfall in the world is in Venezuela

El salto Angel (or Angel Falls in english) is one of the most amazing tourist places in Venezuela. The Indians call it “Kerepakupai Merú” in Pemón, which means “waterfall of the deepest place“. In the Western sector of the Canaima National Park, there is this Auyantepuy, one of the most famous tepuyes (the tepuis are those flat mountains that end with immense vertical walls), from that tepuy is born Angel Falls in one 979 meters of free fall, the highest of the world.

There are two ways to see Angel Falls. One of them is from the air, by plane and the other is on an excursion that departs from the Ucaima port in Canaima, and lasts more than 3 hours navigating the Carrao river and then the Churún. From the Churún River, to the Angel Falls viewpoint, you should walk approximately one hour through the jungle. Another place from where you can see the Angel Falls and the Auyantepuy in all its beauty, is from the island Mouse.

Without a doubt, Venezuela has an endless number of beautiful places.

What do you think? Do you like this information? I hope to share more topics like this!
